How to install and setup our Google Calendar Add-on.

Here is a video tutorial on the install & setup: 


Step 1: Install our Google Calendar Add-on from Google Marketplace.


Step 2: Go to your Google Sheets and create a new spreadsheet file. Put the first row header to be: Title, Description, Location, Start, End. Or make a copy and use this Google Sheet sample that we have created for you: [Google Sheets Sample Here].



Step 3: Copy the Sheet ID in the URL after the slash following 'd' and before the slash before 'edit'. For example; 
"spreadsheets/d/163paA26ETC5usl3M5hmFMB0fofv5LhFwnX20rmGew9k/edit". 

The Sheet ID is 163paA26ETC5usl3M5hmFMB0fofv5LhFwnX20rmGew9k



Step 4: Copy the name of the sheet located at the bottom, such as Sheet1




Step 5: In our add-on, go to settings and paste the values from Step 3 and Step 4. Then click on Try To Connect, and then click on Confirm Settings to link the Add-on with the Google Sheet.




😁Now, you can use our Google Calendar Add-on to create events with your templates. 

📖You can also edit/delete templates in your Google Sheet directly.

💡Key Note: (For organization and categorization, the possibilities are endless!🚀 You have the freedom to create multiple Google Sheets dedicated to specific event themes such as Weddings, Birthdays, Sports etc. Simply configure each 'new' sheet with our add-on through the settings. Our add-on will seamlessly work with the data in each respective sheet, facilitating separation of concerns. Switching between different event sheet categories is a breeze – just update the values in the settings).

The Functionality of our add-on.

Here is a video tutorial on the functionality: 

Feature 1: Create a new event by selecting a template or inputting data and clicking 'Confirm Create Event'




Feature 2: Create a new template and store it for later use by clicking 'Create Template Here'.



Feature 3: Edit a created event with stored templates by selecting the template from the dropdown and clicking 'Transfer Data To Event'. Use the data in an event as a template by clicking 'Transfer Data From Event' and then 'Submit As Template' to store it.



Update 1: Color Label, Email Reminder, Popup Reminder and Guest are now available. To activate them, go to Options and switch them on. In your Google Sheet, add Color on column F, Reminder Email and Popup on column G and H, and Guest on column I. 






Update 2: Location List and Guest List are now available. To activate them, go to Options and switch them on, setup the details by inputting Google Sheet ID, Sheet Name and Column Number.

  1. How do you troubleshoot if your spreadsheet does not connect? I have a spreadsheet already created that I would like to turn into a calendar and do not seem to get it to work.
